Mickey Newbury est surtout connu pour « An American Tragedy» fameuse montée en neige sur la guerre de sécession par laquelle sous les falbalas de Vegas Elvis Presley terminait toutes ses prestations post cuir. Heaven Help the Child) il y a ces mots (Newbury est un « écrivain » de chansons) il y a cette voix (Profonde et sentimentale).
