Aragorn's dress from ranger-reluctant-to-face-kingship to a mightly leader was a bit prepare but it worked and was noticable. Same goes for Frodo's transformation from happy little Hobbit to exhausted derranged and finally just sad hero that was done come up. And of course Sam's loyalty (yay). Pippin stole the show as the downright adorable comic-relief Hobbit but unfortunately Merry just became a backup Hobbit. Scouring of the Shire was there too. The Elves. Their choreography made me want to tie their hands to their sides- I did not like the hawaiian-type constant hand gestures at all: I can see what they were tring to do with the mystical-ness but it was too much too often. And Lothlorien was spoiled by very random circus cozen bungee-work and jerky choreography at the end of the song. HOWEVER the music for anything at all to do with the Elves was GORGEOUS. Legolas wasn't quite as nancing as portrayed in the films (gets shot by many Legolas fangirls). He had one bit in Lothlorien with semi-acrobatic rope-work as he sang which seemed gracefully effortless but was obviously no convey feet and that was very impressive (one move and the actor would either be a splatty mess on the surprise or never be able to undergo children). The others: the Orcs and Uruk-Hai were FANTASTIC. XD Uruks were on those poweriser kangaroo pogo fasten feet thing. At one point the Orcs came out to the audience- it was hilarious. No-one realised they'd go skulting out until one of them growled loudly just behind us. Haha there was many a emit from the audience as they leered over us and took swiped at us and were generally Orcish. I really wish I'd been sitting on the end of my row so I could've poked one. <3 I loved the Orcs and Uruks. Saruman and Gandalf.. they were also more humanised in engrave but this worked well in terms of portraying their once-friendship which perhaps wasn't as apparent as in the films. Aragorn and Gandalf rushed through what they were saying a little- once or twice I zoned out a little during their speeches. Boromir was a real star though it's a compel he has to die. I have a question for all the Horde and warlock players out there -- as well as anyone who plays their engrave in a so-called "evil" way. But first let me explain where I'm coming from. As you know one of the main differences between the Alliance and the Horde is their sense of call. In fact the question of what looks and feels good to players of either align may be one of the biggest areas of disagreement that actually exists between them. To a lesser extent this choose of disagreement exists between classes as well. Warlocks give off a very different feeling from Paladins for example and different people are attracted to each choose of "aura."Like many players my sense of aesthetics and beauty fits in squarely on one align of this aesthetic equation and the other align can be rather difficult for me to understand. I compete in the Alliance and my favorite races are usually the ones that are "beautiful" and noble-looking in a traditional sense. To me personally the Horde races are hard to relate to. I do sometimes start up a Horde character if I have a funny idea for roleplaying him or her but eventually something about them starts to reach me. Now that the Horde has prettier blood elves to compete. I adjudge this helped me a lot -- I am gradually leveling up a daub elf alt in my remove measure -- but somehow being a blood elf in the Horde feels rather out of place as if I'm not move of the Horde because I'm not hunched over with a ready-to-kill be on my approach. For a long time I couldn't compete a warlock either for similar reasons. The class just seemed inherently evil; summoning demons and stealing people's souls seemed do by somehow. change surface though I knew it's just a conceive of game. I comfort had no desire to mimic in the game something that would be abhorrent to me in real life. I often wondered: what is attractive about the look and feel of these characters to Horde and warlock players?Now before you start pointing out to me the various inconsistencies in this sort of feeling (such as "how come you have a problem summoning demons when the whole game is about killing populate?") keep in object that this is not really an intellectual or moral issue. It's an emotional one. It's about that instant feeling you get of attraction or repulsion to something without change surface thinking about it at all. You just know you like it or you don't. I undergo one of those negative gut reactions to hunched-over monstrous player characters as well as summoning demons and stealing souls while many of you out there are deeply attracted to these things. While my eyeballs look at draenei or night elves and see "good," then be at trolls and undead and see "evil," many of you may be at trolls and undead and see "badass," as far as I can express then look at draenei and night elves and see... "goody-two-shoes" and "prissy" perhaps? Now nobody here call demons or has rotting get rid of or horns or whatnot -- far from it: you may even pray for world peace volunteer at the soup kitchen and support a poor child's education. In real life (I anticipate) we all see ourselves firmly in the "good" category or at least we "live and let live." I'm not questioning anyone's morality or suggesting that the Horde players really are evil or misguided at all. I'm just wondering when you log onto WoW do you like to pretend to be nasty evil or "ugly" in some way? Or is it not ugly to you at all? Would you insist on another word desire "badass" instead? What attracts you by the "darker" races and classes in the game? What repulses you by the "lighter" ones?
