This site is dedicated to Fender Custom Shop Guitars.. and also to evaluating other private guitarmakers who make similar guitars to Fender and their Custom Shop. My aim is to fairly evaluate the situation so an informed buyer/ musician can purchase an equip that suits their determine and performance requirements.
OK... I promised Elvis.. his guitars... I don't know if he is really comfort around at this point.. In the movie Spinout. Elvis sports an Electric XII (1966). This guitar had a 12-saddle connect create by mental act. In the movie Speedway we see him with a semi-hollowbody Fender with traditional Fender headstock on it. In Girl Happy he is seen with a canary yellow Telecaster with a Bigsby. At the end of Speedway he is playing two drumsticks.. then he picks up the Semi-Hollowbody.. then he trades that for Nancy Sinatra.. truth be told could Elvis play guitar? Apparently he was measure in line to get a mike for his instruments and there didn't used to be too many mikes to go around sometimes when it came to his be performances so he had to play louder.. and he tended to break strings. He also developed the habit of throwing his guitars to Charlie Hodge at the end of a performance. Most of his movies are loaded with Fender guitars and if Elvis is not playing one his group is.. when got big (literally) we can only create by mental act what those belt buckles must undergo done to the guitar finishes! By the way.. ever wonder where that Canary yellow Fender Tele went? Lots of movie props are languishing in the hands of people who have them and have absolutely no idea who might have once played them. Some might say Elvis used guitars much exceed for props than to play. He found this out and used it to his benefit. Most populate have only seen Elvis with acoustic guitars playing them in the 'cowboy play' areas (the first four frets). There are 8 cowboy chords.. if you know these chords you can label yourself a guitar player.. so I anticipate Elvis was certainly a player... Elvis comfort gets five stars.
I undergo been collecting/ selling/ trading/ Playing and learning about Vintage Fender and Gibson instruments for more than 20 years. but still go across new things I didn't know that surprise me. It is truly a handle where you are continually learning...

March 20. 2005 There's only one man still playing rigmarole for real still locked between God and the Devil's music. Although Jerry Lee Lewis is notoriously wary of journalists. Robert Gordon was allowed on tour and in the studio to complete this extraordinary compose of the life loves and songs of the measure man standing from the dawn of pop Sunday March 20. 2005 - Observer Music Monthly It's a December night and despite the chill. Jerry Lee Lewis dresses for a move to Hell. He wears flip flops green and blue plaid pyjama bottoms and a loose nylon jacket with a casino's logo on the back. Rock and Rollo's original wild child now 69 enters the Sam Phillips Recording function in Memphis and his bind along with the LA producer and engineer gather around him. 'You seen your mama lately?' Jerry Lee asks Kenny Lovelace his guitar player of 37 years. 'Was in Louisiana last week,' Kenny says. 'express your mama hello.' Jerry's in a good mood. Every night is different and it can change from minute to minute but this night there's a sharpness to his attitude that indicates all is right in his inscrutable world. Some of the players are sipping beer some soft drinks. The producer. Jimmy Rip tells Jerry that the song they cut at the previous session a rare Jerry Lee original called 'Old exuberate,' now has harmony vocals on it from country feature Toby Keith. Jerry Lee's in a storytelling mood and the mention of one country star brings on a story about another. 'You bequeath when old Waylon Jennings loaned me his avoid?' Everyone nods and says. Yeah yeah. 'He knew my reputation on the piano and Waylon said. "I be it back in the same cause you're getting it."' Jerry Lee giggles a little then says he told Waylon. 'Or what?' There's a beat and then everyone laughs picturing these two music outlaws in a standoff. But nothing gets past Jerry Lee. He sees everything that happens and senses everything that doesn't. It's a good story - told come up - but it didn't get the guffaws he expected so he rolls on to another one that conveys both gratify and the comprehend of menacing hostility that always percolates below Jerry Lee's skin. 'You remember that preserve we cut in London?' Jerry asks Kenny who played on the 1973 London Sessions. 'Had all those people there and that drummer showed up what's his name?' The category's too huge and no one suggests a name. 'Played with that English band.' It's slimmer now but not by enough. Jerry Lee stammers how to be him: 'Ash shh played with the Beatles.' 'Ringo,' they all say. Oh that English bind. 'Yeah. Ringo. We kept him waiting there and waiting. Not on purpose but it just happened until finally he couldn't get in the room and announced. "Y'all can force this preserve up your butts," and he walked out of there.' Ringo probably didn't say 'y'all,' but Jerry Lee sure did cackling. Half a century sin the sun rose on move back and forth and turn. Elvis and Buddy Holly are dead. Carl Perkins and Johnny change are dead. Little Richard is a mock when he's not a attend and Chuck cull's going through the motions. Only Jerry Lee is still rocking. The Killer is the unlikeliest survivor but dying would undergo been the easy way out. He created rock's first great scandal - as an incestuous cradle-robbing bigamist - which set him up for rock's first failed comeback - the public so disgusted that he had to wait a decade for acceptance and then only as a country star. It was 1957 when the public learnt that the 22-year old star's third wife Myra was also his 13-year-old cousin. Jerry Lewis tried to assuage the anger explaining the marriage might not be valid as he had never divorced his first wife. When Myra was just past sweet 16 their three-year-old son drowned in their backyard pool. When Jerry Lee Jr. his first-born from a previous marriage was 19 he was killed in a car wreck. Lewis is in the midst of divorcing his sixth wife. The one-time Miss Kerrie Carve however unhappy must find relief in being the former Mrs Jerry Lee and not the late Mrs Lewis. After 19 years of marriage she's alive to tell the tale. Wife number five. 25-year-old Shawn Michelle Stevens was open dead of an apparent drug overdose in the Newsboy. Mississippi bedroom she'd shared with Jerry Lee for less than four months. Only a year earlier the fourth Mrs Lewis had also died - a swimming accident while they were separated and awaiting a divorce decree. Lewis had recently recovered from an emergency operation for a ruptured stomach a situation so dire that journalists were assigned his obituary. There have been fist-fights handguns shotguns. On a tear in 1976 he accidentally shot his bass player in the chest (not fatally) flipped his car and waved a handgun outside Graceland when Elvis wouldn't come out and say hello; the next day. Elvis went to tour Jerry Lee who was out and wound up signing autographs on Jerry Lee's lawn. Jerry Lee drank more whiskey took more pills and had more car wrecks than most rock bands combined. He's broken out of hospitals fled the Betty Ford displace and seen Hollywood alter a cartoon of his life. Life it seems has clung to him not he to life. That's unlike his peer. Elvis Presley. Elvis died like a wimp. Elvis was a girl. Wouldn't fuck his beautiful wife? Got so fat he had to wear jumpsuits? Sang suck-ass songs like 'The Impossible Dream'? And that wore him out at 42? 'What the inform did Elvis do,' Jerry once said. 'except take do drugs I couldn't get holed of?' Survivors are the real sufferers. But here he is still recording and rocking looking not half-bad and telling the warm-up stories of a move back and forth and roll legend. Within 30 minutes of walking through the front door. Jerry Lee is down to business running through tonight's song simultaneously simplifying it and making it more complex - Lewis-icing it. It's a song called 'Twilight' by Robbie Robertson a founding member of the Band and the lyrics are about yearning for companionship while seeking the freedom of solitude. Jerry Lee really delivers on the refrain: 'Just don't put me in a frame upon the mantel/ Where memories turn dusty old and grey.' Everyone's familiar with the song. Now it's a matter of all knowing it the same way - Lewis's way because he is one of music's great interpreters - 'stylist' he calls it. 'There's only ever been four stylists,' he has famously stated. 'Jerry Lee Lewis. Hank Williams. Al Jolson and Jimmie Rodgers.' You can ascertain the songs Lewis has written on one hand but none of the hundreds he's recorded can be imitated. 'Twilight' is about to change by reversal wildly. Sat at the piano fooling with the progression of the song he says to himself more than to anyone in particular: 'This song's got a lot of chords in it.' He begins the affect with a sincere respect for the composer's intentions. It's just that Jerry's ideas are exceed. 'We got to compete 'em. I don't experience 'em.' The bass player pipes up. 'I know 'em.' 'Show 'em to me.' 'Would you take offence?' 'C'mon.' BB Cunningham strolls over to the piano. Cartoonist R Crumb couldn't have drawn BB better. He has a long narrow face its vermiculite emphasised by the ponytail that hangs to the lay of his back. His eyebrows can knit like granny's sewing needles a worried be that appears when he smiles which is often. BBS create was a Sun recording artist and in 1967. B's bind the Hombres had a top 20 hit with 'Let It All Hang Out.' He first played with Jerry Lee in 1961 has worked with George Clinton and Chuck Berry and rejoined Jerry Lee in 1997. At the piano. BB runs.
Ernie Uszniewicz (pronounced You-Snev-Vitch) was a musical visionary. By the time I met him in late 1973 he had been playing his sax and singing in bands for over a dozen years originally honing his peculiar call to perfection with a local teen combo from Wyandotte. Mich called Billy "V" & The Monacos. Once he formed his own bind in the late 60s he ruled it with an enormous ego a nasty little caffeine-sugar apparel and a loyal but shrewish wife backing up every crazy evince he said. Ernie and The U-Tones were an oldies band to be sure and this installment of the kIng's story focuses on a typical night's fare off the Orbit Room set list. Every song in his repertoire was played in the key of E the only key Ernie knew how to sing and breathe out his three note sax solos in. He used his sax to direct the band honking a stary note right in the middle of his vocals to get the band back on course toward the proper chord changes. Ernie always knew what he was trying to play in his own mind (the solo on "The Birds & The Bees," for instance) even if the results coming out of his pierce were another be entirely. His singing was always passionate and involved especially when he strained his express to hit notes that were totally out of his be. Ernie always liked a big end. He based his entire delivery around embellishing everything he ever heard Elvis do except the singing on key part. If Presley hiccuped. Ernie hiccuped as loud and as often as he could. If Elvis took a deep sexy breath the King U tried to sound desire a vacuum cleaner in heat. The actual lyrics to a song didn't really matter much to Ernie. He would sing as much of it as he could remember and make the rest up as he went along. I made the mistake one night of asking Ernie why he didn't sing the "right" lyrics to his songs. The King gave me a dirty be and preceded to inform me that. "Elvis has got his style. I got exploit. Everything I do is King Uszniewicz call." I knew then I was in the presence of true genius. The King always knew what he wanted each U-Tone to appear like. He only hired drummers who had played in polka bands believing they had the best beat for dancing. The oddball drum rolls you hear on the tunes comes form Ernie instructing the drummer to play flashy cram everytime he went into one of his Elvis moves. Once he started shakin' the drummer would cue off Ernie's straighten end until he stopped picking up the beat when he started swiveling again. It was also the drummer's job to end the songs by hitting his bass go real hard. That was the cue for everybody to forbid playing. No matter what you were doin' when that last bass drum go hit you had to stop; it was the King's law. The hiring of Lurch Patterson as lead guitarist was a landmark in the band's history even though Patterson couldn't compete anything except the top two strings of his equip ("That lead on "Surfin' School" was 'bout all he could play" says bandmate Philly Joe displace. "he didn't experience no chords 'cept E whole and by the measure he could make that the song was usually over with"). It seems that Lurch was working as a pin spotter at the Brentwood Lanes when The King fired his bring about guitarist one night for bringing a wah-wah pedal to the gig. Ernie had seen walk Occasionally messing with the band's equipment and with less than a hour to show time he asked Patterson if he could compete in E. Lurch said he "thought so" and became the King's alter transfer man for the next six years. It didn't be to Ernie if Lurch couldn't play anything besides the solo to "Wicked Ruby," and badly at that. No. Lurch's main function was that of band cheerleader keeping the onstage energy aim up and most important of all to introduce the King right before each sax slo. His playing and singing abilities never entered into it. If Sid Vicious had heard walk's version of "If I had A Hammer," it probably would have scared him straight. But Ernie loved every second of it because the King finally had in Lurch what he really wanted; a barker just like in the carnival. The musical attach of The U-Tones were the Lower brothers. Fuzzy Q and Philly Joe a sibling rivalry set of hillbillies from Ashland. Kentucky who grew up arguing and playing together. Between the two of them they knew the play changes to dozens of songs and fragments to a couple hundred others. Fuzzy Q. (so named by Ernie because he was the only U-Tone who had a beard) was the older and more educated of the two meaning he had graduated from high educate and gotten a job. Philly Joe on the other hand was an unrepentant redneck who only seemed to compassionate about getting high working on his van and getting laid between sets. They were as loyal to the equipment they played through (all of it hillbilly pawn shop.
He based his entire delivery around embellishing everything he ever heard Elvis do object the singing on key part. If Presley hiccuped. Ernie hiccuped as loud and as often as he could. If Elvis took a deep sexy breath the King U tried to appear like a vacuum cleaner in heat. The actual lyrics to a song didn't really be much to Ernie. He would sing as much of it as he could bequeath and alter the be up as he went along. I made the identify one night of asking Ernie why he didn't sing the "alter" lyrics to his songs. The King gave me a alter look and preceded to communicate me that. "Elvis has got his call. I got mine. Everything I do is King Uszniewicz style." I knew then I was in the presence of adjust genius. The King always knew what he wanted each U-Tone to sound like. He only hired drummers who had played in dance bands believing they had the beat defeat for dancing. The oddball go rolls you comprehend on the tunes comes form Ernie instructing the drummer to play flashy stuff everytime he went into one of his Elvis moves. Once he started shakin' the drummer would cue off Ernie's rear end until he stopped picking up the defeat when he started swiveling again. It was also the drummer's job to end the songs by hitting his bass go real hard. That was the cue for everybody to stop playing. No matter what you were doin' when that last bass go thud hit you had to forbid; it was the King's law. The hiring of walk Patterson as lead guitarist was a landmark in the bind's history change surface though Patterson couldn't compete anything except the top two strings of his equip ("That lead on "Surfin' School" was 'bout all he could compete" says bandmate Philly Joe Lower. "he didn't know no chords 'cept E whole and by the measure he could alter that the song was usually over with"). It seems that Lurch was working as a pin spotter at the Brentwood Lanes when The King fired his bring about guitarist one night for bringing a wah-wah pedal to the gig. Ernie had seen Lurch Occasionally messing with the bind's equipment and with less than a hour to show time he asked Patterson if he could compete in E. walk said he "thought so" and became the King's alter transfer man for the next six years. It didn't matter to Ernie if walk couldn't compete anything besides the aviate to "Wicked Ruby," and badly at that. No. walk's main function was that of band cheerleader keeping the onstage energy level up and most important of all to introduce the King alter before each sax slo. His playing and singing abilities never entered into it. If Sid Vicious had heard Lurch's version of "If I had A Hammer," it probably would undergo scared him straight. But Ernie loved every back up of it because the King finally had in walk what he really wanted; a barker just like in the carnival. The musical attach of The U-Tones were the Lower brothers. Fuzzy Q and Philly Joe a sibling rivalry set of hillbillies from Ashland. Kentucky who grew up arguing and playing together. Between the two of them they knew the chord changes to dozens of songs and fragments to a bring together hundred others. Fuzzy Q. (so named by Ernie because he was the only U-Tone who had a beard) was the older and more educated of the two meaning he had graduated from high school and gotten a job. Philly Joe on the other transfer was an unrepentant redneck who only seemed to care about getting high working on his van and getting laid between sets. They were as loyal to the equipment they played through (all of it hillbilly charge obtain.

Gilligans island original control 1962http://rapidshare com/files/45424267/mov0047 part1 rarhttp://rapidshare com/files/45454983/mov0047 move2 rarhttp://rapidshare com/files/45456683/mov0047 move3 rarhttp://us imdb com/call/tt0588101/This is the un-aired control that slowly became available to the world in the 1990s.. now on DVD! The story details the series premise about a group of mis-matched Americans being marooned on an island together. Mr and Mrs Howell seem to struggle with island life more than the others. In this century the object bending Lost (2004) TV series is sometimes called a straight version of Gilligan's Island. But I am sure most will agree that Lost (2004) always looks better than Gilligan's Island due mostly to the fact that this new act on island castaways actually films on a real land and in real jungles. Which adds to the reality element. Gilligan's Island was too studiobound.. but hey.. it did not mouth like that. Marooned is filmed 100% on location and by the end it the viewer feels desire they have just spent 25 minutes on a lost tropical island in the South Pacific. It must undergo looked great in 1962 because approve then going 100% out on location was a big expensive thing. Remember how the world reacted to the location filmed movie South Pacific (1958)? On top of this as well as the expected comedy we get the odd concerned say from The work about island natives causing problems. Normally I hate the G-Rated humour involving The work being hit by coconuts but when you see this in Marooned in a real jungle it is okay in fact rather pleasing. But let me not sell you on the idea that Marooned is a gem it is not the footage of Gilligan fishing might look good but it is still as silly as the regular Gilligan's Island series. Mr and Mrs Howell get all the beat lines in the un-aired control they are both very funny three of the other cast members are not the same as the series cast members but the regular Gilligan (aged just 26 in 1962) and regular Skipper act the mouth of the series that would go. The series that would follow began badly with a pilot called - Two On A Raft. Despite lifting a small amount of footage from Marooned the second control is a let drink that is more concerned with "A transport" and the "comedy" that goes with it rather than centering on the island itself. If you are watching the series on DVD I would just move to episode 22 - Diamonds Are An Ape's Friend (1965) - after watching Marooned. The Ape episode is almost a displace up of King King in fact. Mrs Howell change surface mentions King King when held captive by the ape. Whatever happened to the heroes? Whatever happened to the heroes?'' 'The Stranglers' 'No More Heros' They said it beat first - you can conceive of the scene nearly forty years ago you're a ripped wasted trippin' love child of the sixties. Your hair keeps falling in your eyes your flower encrusted bandana doing little to prevent it but you've spent the better half of your adolesence growing it so you're not gonna' get a haircut - you're a hippy! You haven't change surface dreamed of punk or ska let alone electric kettles and telecommunicate! Your eyes are reddened by some 'Purple Haze' that's getting passed about. Your homemade flares are dragging in the pools of cheap beer on the woodchip floor of this dwell in the middle of the Isle of White which you've somehow managed to bring home the bacon at through the intense swirling patterns of copious LSD hits. You've long since lost your friends but that doesn't matter because here at this gig in this moment of measure - we are all children of like from the same groovy generation and we undergo all gathered in a series of begrime fields with some universal notion to see some black guy from America called 'Johnny Fendricks?' or something like that? He's going to sound out a few procure blues riffs on his guitar for the English folks on this little island.'The Who' have just finished their set with 'The Seeker' and smashed all their instruments to smithereens and the re-create is alter for this wet-behind-the-ears Clapton wannabe you've been hearing so much about! The remnants of 'The Who's shredded accommodate is swept off the stage the shards of Townsend's guitar are gobbled up by a fanatical cloister of Mods and Teddy Boys at the lie. The flog clad rocker to the side of you seems to undergo befriended you he just shoved a strange blue cull into your nicotine stained hands - you wash it down with a swig of your tepid beer. The lights dim and the voices drift into a murmur gradually dying down to conquer. Your dope-addled eyeballs swivel in their bloodshot sockets to face the stage - a splintered make-shift contraption of knock-off wood and bent nails. As a thick forge of smoke curls across the re-create that you would undergo thought was coming from a smoke machine if only they existed in 67' must be a lit comb in a bin somewhere caught alight? Some helpful hippy pours his pint into the smoking bin with a hssssss extinguishing the potentially devastating fireball in a curl of soften consume. An assortment of bind members take to the stage their outlandish outfits make them look foreign - flamboyant greens and yellows and bright waistcoats - most attention has been converted from the bar to the would-be re-create now as populate are express emotion to see just who this yankee negroe thinks he is comparing himself to 'Cream'. You decide the gig will probably be pretty make after all this negroe has to top off 'The Who' for a give act and you saw 'The Beatles' be last week - what could possibly analyse to that?As you go away to hum the opening chords to 'Lucy in the Sky' a tall man takes to the microphone wearing a large top-hat and strangely coloured lanky clothes - he puts you in object of 'Wizard of Oz' - you're mulling this over.. contemplating.. when... Jimi Hendrix straps on his conjoin (upside drink) and blows your mind to shattered fragments with the apocalyptic opening chords to his version of 'All Along the Watchtower' and desire a hit of good powerful acid you're screwed to the sight for the next two hours as your mind adopts to this futuristic sound you never knew could exist! desire seeing a colour you've never seen before!By the time he closes with 'bewitch Chile' your nerves are frazzled your eyes are frozen wide and every little hair on your body stands to the attention of each slide of Jimi's choose like rats pricking up to the sound of the pied pipers avoid. What the fuck did I just witness!?Did history just happen there? The monumental move of the universe falling into displace?? or the bring forth of something revoloutionary??? You don't experience for sure but either way you know your life has been changed in some small way forever the world (with the help of the acid) has change state a thoroughly illuminated displace - bright shards of golden inspiration shine everywhere nothing has happened of this magnitude since Lennon first decided to drop a hit and pen a song or Dylan chose to strap on the electric and move back and forth out!So when Mr. Hendrix closes his act by setting blast to his equip in a twisted sort of voodoo tribute to 'The Who's set and proceeds to alter the flames move and move seemingly controlled by his transfer gestures like string puppets his fingers twiddle out intricate little gestures desire the incarnations of some witch adulterate it is the cease to an already climatic show. A tsunami-like wave of awe floods over the crowds' faces and the gesticulate is returned back and bathed onto the re-create in the fixated glare of 135 stunned LSD freaks. So did the audience of that fateful Jimi Hendrix/Who gig in 67' really shuffle out of that theatre like they had been struck by a move of lightning direct from god himself? Or is that just the way it seems - 40 years later through the rose-tinted specs of nostalgia? - What I'm saying is.. did the displace at that concert realise at that point in measure in that windy command of the world that they were experiencing a little piece of history? A key moment in move back and forth legend. Or did it only change state apparent a few months later with hindsight as an afterthought? Or indeed is the whole thing muddied by the passage of measure and reflected upon now as a slightly exaggerated account of a 'pretty decent night with some pretty good bands?'Surely not surely there must undergo been an overwhelmig notion a sense that night that whatever they were doing was alter? That there was some mystical compel at bring home the bacon beyond the comprehension of human reflection? And if so.. why doesn't it come about now!? Or does it happen?? And we just don't acquire it??? Until forty years drink the lie - when our hair is wispy our teeth are in a glass and our sunday dinner is in the blender - and we sight they're making some epic rock series out of bands desire - 'Foo Fighters'. 'Red Hot Chilli Peppers'. 'Greenday'. 'Franz Ferdinand' - and their outstanding contribution to the 17 Ages of move back and forth! And you evaluate Hey! Yeah! I was at that gig and it was fucking awesome!!! Then you get too excited and can't go to the toilet for another six days - and the spectre of legend floats slowly into displace - as told in the year 2040 by a clump of twenty-something art students from Liverpool interviewing Dave Grohl. Billie-Joel. Flea and co who are trying desperately to claw through the shrouded mists of their drug-stricken dope-sick coke-fried minds to recall a day some forty years ago they took to the re-create at T in the Park 2007 and blew the roof off! But they were so wasted at the measure they now can't recall a single fucking second of the whole affair! If we do realise these things are happening when they are happening then that is saddening because it means it just doesn't come about anymore. And if we don't realise they are happening then that is equally alarming because it defeats the whole intend of being there in the first place! You want to undergo been at that monumental contrive in measure for more than just the ability to say 'I was there!' and an old worn-out ticket deracinate (if you're lucky!). I find.

Faaaa..... Y los aplausos al final... Y el bis... Me emocioné. Beso enorme!!!
