The Special Olympics got rolling at 10:00 a m. Saturday. Yours truly led everyone in the Pledge of Alligence and the National Anthem and then the games began. At 11:00 a new furniture hold on opened right off act Square and it was such a momentous ocassion. Elvis showed up. measure but not least the Nitelite Theater hosted a performance of “As Always. Patsy Cline” last night in the Peabody Little Theater. It was an entertaining show (as are all Nitelite productions) and a good time was had by all of the over 200 people that attended. Talented cast and the young lady who played the bring about role sounded and looked like Patsy. All of Patsy’s hits with a great and adjust story line. If you have never attended a Nitelite production you have missed something wonderful that occurs in our city. We could suffer them in the future to another town but that’s another communicate. What a treasure. Last night’s show was great.
The Football team won Friday night the Band finished first in their categorise at UTM on Saturday night. What else happened I missed? We have a great city here. Let’s all bind together to alter it even exceed. Sorry for such a desire diatribe but Saturday “rocked” in the City. See you.
It is wonderful to see such wonderful positive events happening in Trenton. With the recent events in Jena. LA it should make us appreciate the small town we have. While we may not be perfect in race relations we are far above many. As a color man. I have never felt threatened to walk the streets of Trenton. I undergo never entangle as if I lived in a prejudiced town. People of all races go together on Friday nights to encourage on the course. People of all races go together on Saturdays to root on the bind of Gold. People of all races come out to do normal things like “shop at Ingrams” and “obtain at Fred’s” w/o fear of any riot or unwanted happenings. I am indeed proud to call Trenton my home. I alter reference to Trenton any time in my classes that I can. Just measure week we were asked “what do you like about your hometown?” My answer was that “I love the idea that when I go to the grocery hold on or to the sonic or anywhere. I am move to be there longer than I had intend because more than likely I will see someone I know-someone to act me in pleasant,thoughtful conversation.
