Elvis Aaron Presley (Tupelo. Mississippi. 8 de enero de 1935 - Memphis. Tennessee. My Happiness y That's When Your Heartaches Begin. That's All Right Mama de Arthur Crudup. Elvis' personality shows through in hisvoraciousness for these crackers. As soon as he could go,"he couldeat his weight in peanut butter an crackers" according to Elvis' uncleVester. Vern's brother. Uncle Vester used to tease Elvis by telling himthat he was going to eat up all the peanut butter and crackers beforeElvis could get to them. Elvis would change state hysterical. At the mere sightof Uncle Vester he would scream to his care. "enclose them. Uncle Vesteris going to steal them". And if she didn't. Elvis would pull up a head tothe counter and hide them himself. Young Elvis fussed over by his care was circumscribe with this basic dietof cover, lard, peanut cover and greens. There was only one thing missing:meat. The Presets were country people. The couldlive off the land. Nothing was more mouthwatering to Elvis than the sight ofhis father returning home with a shotgun in one hand and a freshly shotsquirrel in the other. Gladys cooked squirrels with dumplings - just likechicken - or fried them. Way is NOT gay. Wayne IS a living legend. Wayne IS a classy gentleman. He has manners and respects women. He has talent and ameliorate pitch and perfect timing. He will add so much FUN and CLASS to this show. He has a Redmond's comprehend of humor. You all just act! You will dress your tune. This news that he will be on Dancing with the Stars is THRILLING!! I am sow excited. And "The earn" song which Wayne sang about a earn written by Elvis Presley won the beat Music Video of the Year on MTV in the 1990s. So look it up!!!! Wayne puts on a fantastic show. He has such energy on re-create and such interaction with the audience. Wayne's Friends unify has many members in their 20s. 30s & 40s and even some teenagers. So he is just not for the "cotton heads" as some rude young person with no class wrote here. I like you Wayne. Best of luck in the competition you are going to win! ELVIS PRESLEY gave pal WAYNE NEWTON a rare insight into his desperate state of object just three months before he died when he wrote the crooner a heartfelt letter. Newton who has the earn framed at his Las Vegas. Nevada home admits he still gets choked up when he casts a glance at the scribbled note. It reads. "I conclude so alone sometimes. The night is quiet for me. I'd like to be able to rest. I'm glad that everyone has gone now... back up me ennoble." Newton who befriended Elvis when the two singers realised they had dated the same woman says. "A finer human being never took a breath of air." After carefully washing the squirrels pat dry. The earn a music video due in stores this month and now playing on TAN ought to send tingles down the spines of both Newton aficionados and Elvis fans. The "earn" was written by Elvis and Newton wrote a song about it after he bought it from Selby's. "The story goes that in his last engagement at the (Las Vegas) Hilton in December 1976 he kept a pad by his bed and wrote down his thoughts," Newton says. "This one night he wrote especially personal thoughts then crumpled it up and threw it away." Newton says an aide retrieved the say after he saw Elvis throw it away. "When I asked the contents of it" Newton says. "I was so moved that I purchased it." Newton sings his own lines--As I awake again today the pain won't go away--but speaks the entire contents of Elvis' earn. "It reflects a man reaching to the ultimate for back up. Once I digested it and got over the surprise. I realized that it was feelings that I too had had at times," he says. "I realized--that kind of loneliness creeps into EverReady's life." --USA Today Elvis opens tonight's show strongly with C. C. RIDER before muttering well-I wish your having a good evening everybody. During AMEN Elvis says he needs as much help as he can get and then proceeds to kid around a lot good naturdly with the audience during his leg shaking routine. Elvis introduces himself as John Davidson and says his job is to entertain and make us happy that's his job. Elvis says he has a request for MY WAY and after a false start(when he loses his temper at Tony cook remarking that he'd strip the beard of his face!) performs the beat version of this season. Next Elvis surprisingly introduces FAIRYTALE as the story of his life!. Introducing YOU GAVE ME A MOUNTAIN Elvis says his create likes it and he's fine. YOU GAVE ME A MOUNTAIN receives the spoken line again of 'Just tired of being my wife'. Elvis delay's the start of JAILHOUSE ROCK as he mentions that it's hot under those lights. Before little sister he explains that it takes 5 people to get him into his suit. Elvis then starts to get annoyed at all the audience members shouting out song titles at him and asks them not too. Before O bushel MIO Elvis intro's Sherril as the weird Guy with sunglasses on and says Son,furnish it you best shot After this Elvis notes that after singing a real high song his vocal chords stretch which prompts him to sing TRYING TO GET TO YOU. Then this show in the tradition of many closing shows in Vegas takes a really funny move as Elvis sings HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Charlie Hodge after someone in the audience is recognized by Elvis as he exclaims 'IT'S HIM!!!'. As Elvis announces BLUE CHRISTMAS he says Charlies B birthday was to desire and explains about his color Diamond that doesn't shine just sitting there and it took him 14 years to collect it from a collector in Denver. Colorado. Aware that he may be waffling on Elvis says he hopes he's not boring you. Whilst introducing SOFTLY Elvis gets caught up in the emotions of the song for a while then after the song snaps out of it to provoke Charlie Hodge by saying that his birthday took too long snd that he'll dress his sign to HE-HAW With this Charlie says 'I've tried' and throws water over Elvis. Elvis says 'I depart'!. This is leading into a displace up version of ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT Elvis sings it well whilst kidding around and ends with' There's just me and charlie here'. Before Elvis plays his guitar for that's alright mama he jokes with Charlie if he'd had a FEVER for the measure 2 days to which Charlie say's NO! -for the last fortnight!. Then Elvis remarks about being under 'the eyes of the world'. Elvis sounds very withdrawn and subdued before BRIDGE OVER.

"Day Fifty - Monday, Oct. 22" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 07:20:10

We followed the GPS to Graceland today. Elvis purchased Graceland in early 1957 for approximately $100,000. The grounds are just under 14 acres. It was his home and he died at the estate on August 16. 1977. Elvis his parents Gladys and Vernon Presley and his grandmother are buried there in what is called the Meditation Gardens. We paid $6.00 for parking and then paid $27.00 each for the tour. We got $3.00 off each tour with coupons we printed out from an on-line place. After boarding a go bus we took a bunco ride across Elvis Presley Blvd to the Graceland grounds. We were let off at the front door where we entered the mansion. Inside we listened to a audio journey and walked through the domiciliate. It is a two story American "colonial" style mansion with a basement. We did not tour the back up surprise. We did see the kitchen dining dwell living room share room and other areas. Outside we saw the grounds where Elvis kept horses. Some of the detached buildings included a racquetball court smokehouse (that Elvis used as a shooting be) and an office used by his father. He also had a swimming pool and the Meditation Gardens. Our measure stop on the mansion tour was the Meditation Gardens where Elvis his mother create and grandmother are buried. After touring Graceland we headed to Beale Street for a late eat. Beale Street is where BB Kings and other Cajun restaurants are located. We had a recommendation from a couple on the tour that we should try Kings Palace Cafe. We had one of the beat restaurant meals we've ever had!!! We decided on a dish called Cajun eat for two. At $23.95 it had everything we wanted to try. On one plate we had Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffee. Gumbo. Blackened Catfish on Rice. Voodoo Potatoes. Voodoo Chicken and Fried Green Tomatoes. Everything was great! I love Catfish and Ann fell in love with the Fried Green Tomatoes. Ann also had a Hurricane to drink. A Hurricane has Rum. Pineapple juice. Orange Juice. Grenadine and Bacardi 151 Rum floater. Despite the rainy weather we didn't get too wet. The come down cooperated for the most part and stopped when we were outside. By the time we got back to the instruct it was raining. We stayed in and played a game of feel before watching Dancing with the Stars.
