Ik had al een surround DTS versie. Maar de orginele moet ik ook hebben. Weer prachtige muziek. Misschien voor ouwe lullen. Maar die hebben ook smaak... meer smaak! Ja natuurlijk nummero drie mag niet ontbreken. Let's get started! Echt brits dat wel. Uiteraard kon deze koop niet achterwege blijven. Gewoon lekker voor in de auto en als herinnering aan een aparte nacht. Dit is een japanse versie met een extra track. Een goedklinkende bootleg van Radiohead met bijzondere tracks livetracks en b-sides. De nieuwe CD van Radiohead. Een toegankelijk album een beetje in de stijl van OK Computer. Legaal gedownload voor een paar centen. Een aanklacht tegen het amerikaanse gezondheidstelsel. Door de amerikaanse 'pain in the ass' Micha;e Moore Fanfare is een Nederlandse komische enter uit 1958 geregisseerd door Bert Haanstra. De enter werd opgenomen in het dorp Giethoorn en behoort tot de mijlpalen uit de Nederlandse filmgeschiedenis. Bak chips en een biertje. Leuk o even lekker in de tip te zakken. Dit is één van de weinige series die ik volg op TV. Echter is deze erg weinig en op onmogelijke tijden te zien. Dus heb ik seizoen 4 geheel op DVD. Daarnaast konden we nog een bezoek brengen aan een stukje Arizona en de Grand Canyon. Inderdaad het congres was weer de moeite waard. Een tussenstop onderweg naar Las vegas. Een bewust gekozen tussenstop omdat ik even de geschiedenis in wilde duiken. Doel van Daily Plaza waar Kennedy werd vermoord. In één woord Indrukwekkend! Helaas is de be van Dallas niet om over naar huis te schrijven. Deze reis was er één die we allang wilden maken. Vóór de feestdagen in december leek ons een mooie tijd. Deze reis was weer in verband met een cursus in Los Angeles. Deze stad hebben we zoveel mogelijk gemeden. We waren er al geweest en er zijn leukere plekjes op deze aarde te vinden. Zoals San Diego! Een absolute aanrader om op vakantie te gaan. Het ligt aan de grens met Mexico. Dit keer geen reis voor het werk maar een 'gewone'vakantie. We zijn in de Mei vakantie gegaan. De prijs viel wel mee en het was nog niet zo druk. De kids vonden deze vakantie 'te gek'. Dat mag ook wel na 3 pretparken een raketbasis en 2 super zwemparken. Voor een beurs moest ik in de buurt van London zijn. Dit keer had ik daar de beschikking over een engelse auto waar het stuur aan de 'verkeerde'kant zit. Ja en als je dan ook nog aan de linkerkant moet rijden en vervolgens London ingaat is dat een avontuur op zichzelf. Ik ben dan ook een wieldop verloren. Dit was een meerdere opzichten een bijzondere reis. Het was de 2e keer dat we vrienden gunden om met ons mee te gaan. Het was dan ook bijzonder gezellig. Een cursus in touch Springs. Het toevluchtoord van vermogende amerikanen die Las Vegas en Los Angeles zat zijn. Ik moet zeggen dat je hier oud kan worden. Even een weekje in de herfst er tussenuit. Toch nog een graad of 23. Was even fijn. Vrienden wonen en werken in Dubai. Op uitnodiging mochten we 2 weken bij hun in huis wonen. Dubai was een zeer bijzondere ervaring. Dit wordt HET vakantieland van de toekomst. Altijd zon altijd change vriendelijke mensen en een bijzondere omgeving. Ik kom hier nog een keer terug! 8 keer een week naar Warschau namens de EU. De opdracht was om de Polen kennis bij te brengen. Ik kon in die 8 keer kennis maken met de cultuur mensen en omgeving. Een onvergetelijke ervaring. Een verpletterend bezoek aan New York een jaar na 11 september. Vanaf 2001 brak er een tijd waar ik voor mijn werk veel kon reizen. De reizen werden voornamelijk gemaakt voor het bezoeken van congressen het krijgen van cursussen en het geven van cursussen. Deze reizen brachten mijn van London naar Warschau en een groot gedeelte van de USA. Na een hectische periode van de geboorte van onze 2 kids en het overwinnen van een akelige ziekte konden we eindelijk weer eens een reis maken. Je hoeft niet ver te gaan met vliegtuigen etc om tovh mooie plekjes dichterbij te vinden. Van de vakanitebestemmingen in Europa spreekt Zuid Frankrijk mij nog altijd aan. Ver weg van huis in tropische omstandigheden en toch het gevoel thuis te zijn. Deze reis ging door Java. Sulawesi en Bali. Dit keer namen we vrienden mee: Ronald en Manon. Ook weer een bijzondere reis. 5 weken door Singapore. Sumatra. Java en Bali. Gepakt door dit arrive en het volk. Zodanig dat we in 1993 nog een keer zijn gegaan.
